Writing with HeART: Art Journaling October 23 – 27, 2022

Of all the workshops I run for adults, this one is the most fun. Even, maybe especially, if you’re a little nervous about making visual art or writing.

Inspired by author/NPR commentator Nancy Aronie’s beloved Writing from the Heart memoir workshop (which I’ve run for her a couple of times at Kripalu), the Writing with HeART workshop is a five-day series of prompts, activities and sharing sequenced to take your journaling/writing/art to the next level– going deeper and/or stretching further. Kripalu will relieve you of all your home-ly obligations, and I will provide you with a safe, playful environment to create. At the end of our five days, we will come up with a plan to keep your artistic self awake, alive, and continuing to create well after you leave our bubble.

Truthfully, I’m as or more interested in changing your life than changing your art. I want you to be like the person who felt “so energized to create more” at the end of her workshop in 2019 AND is still creating now with (literally and sometimes without) a couple of kids under the age of five. Except, of course, I want you to be you.
