What I did for my summer vacation…
I put it in a gift certificate. I’m planning to cash it in during mud season 2022. My 91 y.o. dad came up from Philly in mid-July for a seven day stay at my sister’s in Natick and announced he was never going back. So, in brief, we’ve gotten him settled in (actually in all new Perry Ellis boxer-briefs). Mid-August, my other sister and I went down to Philly and packed up his stuff. I love having him just towns (not states) away.
I also ran a Graphic Medicine workshop at the idyllic Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill. A courageous, creative group, ranging in age from 22 to, um, I didn’t ask, maybe 73? Survivors, caregivers, visual artists, a poet, a dancer and combinations of some of the above. We spent five mornings together and now we’re connected forever.
